But where is the best spot to paint your numbers? And should you have your address painted in more than one location?

- At the beginning of a walkway
- Next to the mailbox
- On top of the curb where parked cars would otherwise hide the face of the curb
- At the foot of the driveway, either centered or to the house side
- If no curb or driveway exists, consider a flat, hard surface near the entryway to your property
- On the face of a concrete step can bring the address marking up to eye level and make it easier to see
- At the top of a concrete culvert if there isn’t a curb

- Numbers painted on top of the curb as well as the curb’s face will allow your address to be seen even when a parked car is blocking the curb’s face.
- Your painted address can signal where to find the entryway to your front door.
- If the walkway/entryway is far removed from your mailbox or driveway, consider having both locations marked.
